Soundtracks from Magnatune

Great things are possible with video clips from your phone and insightful voiceovers. Sometimes however, the right soundtrack can make a good video into a great one. Here at UniLives.com, we want to be good Internet citizens and respect copyright. We also recognize that most students don’t have the time or money to license your favourite songs from the big record companies.
Our friends at Magnatune have offered to help us out; they are providing free soundtrack licenses for any video we publish on our site. Once you sign up to share your video on UniLives.com, you will have access to our soundtrack downloads area.
Our deal with Magnatune helps us protect you. If you publish a video with copyrighted material you haven’t licensed, you open yourself to major legal risk. So when you upload a video on UniLives.com, we will ask you to provide evidence of your permission to use your background music. If you can’t provide that evidence, you can still publish your video – using great music from Magnatune.
We have major respect for Magnatune’s policies, which are creator and artist friendly. Our agreement only covers videos published on our site, but if you want to use their tunes on some other non-commercial project, you can probably do it for free, under a Creative Commons license.
