Share Your Video
Sep 23rd, 2009 by J. Nathan Matias
UniLives.com is bringing students together to share our university experience using online video. Help us collect a video snapshot of university experience worldwide.
Make a short video about university life (ideas & guidelines). Then, upload the video from your phone, digital camera, or computer to UniLives.com, to look at similar videos, discuss university life, vote for your favourite clips, and win prizes.
Sign Up by completing our simple application form. It won’t take you more than five minutes, and we’ll set up your account within a day or two.
Make Your Video. You can use any technology from a mobile phone to a film-quality HD cam. Slideshows also work. What matters is the quality of your reporting, and your creativity. More information is available on our ideas & guidelines section. If you need tools or tips, check out our page of helpful resources for making, editing, and subtitling your videos.
We have also partnered with the music label Magnatune to provide free licenses to a large range of their music. Once you sign up, you can access our soundtrack download library.
Publish Your Video. Simply use the WordPress.com Dashboard to upload your video, add some basic information about yourself and your university, and submit it to be published. We’ll post instructions soon.
Submissions close in the beginning of May 2010, when we will give prizes for films with the most votes, and for the favourite films of our judging panel. Further details will be available in January 2010.
